Passion.

According to CBInsights, 42% of start-ups fail because there is no market need. Your new business venture should be filling a critical need in your chosen industry, not just for your own personal benefit. Remember to be passionate about your business AND helping your market! A balance between the two ensures you fall in love with what you do every day.

Motivation.

Starting a business is hard but if you are not determined enough, you will give up when the going gets tough. Strong women in business know that failure goes hand-in-hand with success and are fuelled by failures and celebrate even the smallest of wins.

Positivity.

When you first start out in your market, it can be easy to become doubtful of your success. Kay Koplovitz, the founder of the USA Network, states that “you have to be comfortable that you can think your way through and actually execute your way through to the desired outcome”. The mindset of expecting to be successful is powerful. Positive thinking, faith and confidence can go a long way when you’re a business owner!

Gratitude.

Successful women acknowledge the support they receive in both the home and office environments and that graciousness makes them better people and leaders. Trust and loyalty are commonly formed through gratitude which can help foster stronger employee relations.

Bravery.

Being innovative means standing out and taking calculated risks in order to run a business. You cannot achieve great things when you play it safe 24/7. Push your fears to the side and challenge yourself to do something different each week, you’ll be surprised with the results!

Ultimately, it all comes down to hard work and commitment to your cause. Let us know if you have or are planning to launch a start-up. We would love to hear it!
